Apple buy facebook expected next year

In Apple's earnings call, Apple was asked how the process 500 million in cash, Jobs replied: Apple will soon usher in a strategic opportunity, but do not want to do stupid acquisitions. Kafka believes that next year such as Facebook by 35 to 40 billion U.S. dollars initial public offering, Apple will be interested.

Here’s what I heard. “I think we’ve demonstrated a really strong track record of being very disciplined with the use of our cash,” Jobs said. “So I think that we’d like to continue to keep our powder dry because we do feel there are one or more strategic opportunities in the future, that’s the biggest reason.”

That could mean a lot of things, but as Kafka wrote:

I don’t remember Jobs every signaling his desire to go shopping quite as openly as this before (feel free to correct me in comments if I have this one wrong). Two caveats:

* Jobs is famous for saying one thing and doing… something else. So don’t get too riled up about this.
* Just because Jobs is talking about spending money on “opportunities” doesn’t mean he’s talking about buying a company. He could be talking about big, hairy capital expenditures, like the billion-dollar server farm it’s finishing up in North Carolina.

So what will Jobs spend the money on? Kafka’s suggestion: Facebook. If Facebook has the option of going public for between, say, $35 and $40 billion, next year, Apple could cover that.

That would certainly qualify as a “strategic opportunity.” Just as Apple has struggled to compete with Google’s web services, Google has been trumped in social networking by Facebook. Jobs and Zuckerberg have even been seen together, Kafka notes.

Ostensibly that involves finding a way to integrate Apple’s Ping music discovery service with Facebook. But while they’re talking…

What do you think? What would you buy if you were Steve Jobs and had $51 billion to spend? Weigh in below.

Vietnam already have prototype of CDMA version of iPhone

Apple Releases iPhone CDMA version of the message widely circulated in the past few days, it seems that its authenticity is not questioned. Now, there are an unknown site in the exaggeration, claiming that to get a test prototype of CDMA version of iPhone. Although most of these pictures blurred, but the basic is to determine the aircraft's design and not much different from the existing iPhone 4.

In these latest leaked images, the iPhone appears with a designation of N92DVT, a codename that provides some insight into the production status and possible identity of the handset. According to information previously release by John Gruber on his Daring Fireball blog, N92 is the internal codename  given to the CDMA iPhone. The DVT portion of the name refers to Design Verification Testing, one of the final stages in product development. This is the stage at which the iPhone 4 was lost and found in a bar earlier this year.

The source post also claims the CDMA smartphone from Apple includes a micro-SIM slot and suggests this rumored handset may have support for global roaming. This claim fits in nicely with an earlier rumor that points to an Apple smartphone with both CDMA and GSM/HSPA capabilities. Unfortunately, the presence of this micro-SIM slot can not be verified by the leaked photos. Higher quality shots are not available as the Vietnamese repair shop no longer has the phone in its possession.

In the end, these leaked images show little more than an iPhone-4 like handset that may or may not be photoshopped to have the appearance of the rumored N92 CDMA variant. While the timing is right for a DVT prototype to surface just prior to its big early 2011 launch, I am not convinced that these images are legitimate. Sound off in the comments and let us know what you think of these leaked photos. Are they real or a really good fake?

Google's Android was generating more revenue than the apple's iPhone

Mobile advertising firm Millennial Media said in the company's advertising network, Android was generating more revenue than the iPhone.According to the company "Mobile Mix" report in September, Android is the second largest mobile network equipment, and  has been in this position since July 2010. Since then, Android ads are the monthly growth rate of 2%, and now the share has reached 29%.

The platform didn't overtake iOS for revenue as a whole, since the iPad and iPod touch combined still outweighed what Android could manage. Apple's tablet saw a rapid rise over the summer, growing 63 percent just in raw traffic from month to month but more than tripling revenue with a 316 percent boost.

RIM had five of the top 20 smartphones in the roster, but its combined effort only got it 12.6 percent of share on Millenial's network. Sony Ericsson was notable, as while it was still a bit player with just 1.6 percent had enough share to reach eighth place in device share: the Xperia X10 has been in the top 20 for two months.

The share doesn't represent a recreation of market share but does suggest that Android has been continuing to make gains in share and has become a successful enough app platform that developers can expect significant ad revenue. Android Market has often had a heavy bias towards free apps over paid but has also been a relatively poor ad market due to a lack of exposure. The rise of the platform has led to more significant advertisers and more professional-quality apps.

Mark Zuckerburg is not interested in making money

Facebook's CEO Mark Zuckerburg said he was not concerned about the current profitability of Facebook when Speaking at incubator Y Combinator's Startup School, Facebook is focused on gaining users and improving the experience for existing users.

Zuckerberg said that any extra cash is just reinvested in the product, so Facebook is currently still run at "around" break-even level. Zuckerberg said: "There's no point right now in having a massive profit," however, Zuckerberg on Facebook's attitude is changing. He said the Building a company is one of the most efficient ways in the world that you can kind of align the incentives of a lot of smart people towards making a change.

Zuckerberg also talked about the movie "social networking." Zuckerberg acknowledged that some details of the film is real. For example, "every shirt and fleece" in the movie is one that he has worn. But he also pointed out, it's revealing to compare what the movie got right and what it got wrong. He said he founded the Facebook is not for chasing girls, he had a girlfriend Priscilla Chan since before starting Facebook.

However, according to David Kirkpatrick's "Facebook effect", since Zuckerberg and Chan broke up, Zuckerberg had another girlfriend during Facebook's early days in Silicon Valley. Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan didn't start dating again until 2006.

Zuckerberg said that some of the misunderstanding of the film proved the difference between Hollywood and Silicon Valley. He said: "Hollywood can not understand, it was created just because they like something."

New patent for apple iphone Stop "sexting"

Apple has received to stop publishing inappropriate text messages or pornography patent applications, which means that iPhone owners will be to stop using their mobile phones to send pornographic text messages or other inappropriate information. The purpose of this application is to stop the mobile phone users send pornographic or other induced SMS.

While "sexting" isn't mentioned once in the patent, the technology appears to enable users to control the content of text-based messages, so that parents -- or employers -- could exclude or replace "forbidden" content. Presumably the administrator could select verboten words or product names, which would be flagged or replaced when they appear on a user's handset.

According to tech blog TechCrunch, the background info for the patent states in part that currently there is "no way to monitor and control text communications to make them user appropriate.

"For example, users such as children may send or receive messages (intentionally or not) with parentally objectionable language."

And of the patent itself: "In one embodiment, the control application includes a parental control application.

"The parental control application evaluates whether or not the communication contains approved text based on, for example, objective ratings criteria or a user's age or grade level, and, if unauthorised, prevents such text from being included in the text-based communication.

"If the control contains unauthorised text, the control application may alert the user, the administrator or other designated individuals of the presence of such text.

Many of the stars can also be used by the program. Many celebrities in trouble because they used mobile phones to send with the restricted information, such as we know Tiger Woods.

New high-tech product Tablet PC made in China

Tablet PC With the rise of mobile Internet has become increasingly hot, which is reflected in this year's CommunicAsia. Terminal manufacturers only show new phones in the past. The addition of telecommunications exhibition this year out of a class of products, it is Tablet PC. I believe that the Tablet PC market will usher in a competition, even though the short term the market will not be as competitive as mobile phones, but this marks a new product, new market start.

ZTE, a publicly-owned, Chinese corporation that designs and manufactures telecommunications equipment and systems, claimed that ZTE Light is more portable, easy-to-use and internet friendly tablet PC, which provides brand new experience to entertainment and internet access. The 3G ready ZTE Light has 3 megapixel camera and memory card slot for the extension upto 32 GB.

ZTE Light offers GPS navigation, music and video player with Mp4 support, and WiFi. It also supports voice calling on dual band UMTS 2100 MHZ/900 MHZ and internet access on HSUPA network with a download speed of up to 7.2 Mbps and an upload speed of up to 5.76 Mbps.

So far the bulk of ZTE’s revenues come from the sale of telecom infrastructure equipment such as routers. But its shipments of handsets and other mobile devices are growing fast, and the company has said it aims to expand this segment to match revenues from the network gear segment.

Industry analysts have said that in the next 3-5 years, China's Tablet PC will be a sustained and rapid development stage. Before 2014, the rapid development of tablet PCs, Tablet PCs are in the Chinese market has a huge user base.

It did not provide a suggested retail price for the device.

The smartphone segment has seen similar downward pressure on prices in the last year, as low-cost designers like ZTE, Huawei and Lenovo Group Ltd have piled into the market.

The ZTE light comes as other tablets are entering the market. Apple launched its iPad in China last month. Samsung also displayed its Galaxy Tab at this week's telecom exhibition, with a company spokeswoman saying the device could arrive in China by the next month, although no official date has been set.

Huawei, a Chinese telecommunications equipment supplier and rival to ZTE, has also released its own tablet called the S7. The device is similar to ZTE's tablet in that it also runs on the Android 2.1 OS and features a 7-inch touchscreen. Users can also make phone calls from that tablet.
